How Famino started
Famino grew out of everyday family life. Daniel Prause first built the app for his own family: appointments, school, shopping and housework all run alongside work, and the load is rarely shared evenly. Much of it is carried in one person's head, the mental load grows and becomes a burden. An everyday helper was needed.

None of the apps he tested fully met his requirements for features, depth and data security, and most of them no longer felt up to date. So Daniel built Famino.

The app quickly caught on among friends and acquaintances and was then released to the public. Famino is more popular than ever and keeps growing with the needs, ideas and wishes of its many families.

One sentence
Famino is a family app from Germany that brings the whole family's calendar, tasks, class schedules, homework, school grades, cookbook, meal plan and household budget together in one app.

Short text (about 60 words)
Famino brings the whole family's everyday life into one app: a shared calendar, tasks and shopping lists, class schedules and homework, a meal plan with cookbook, a household budget and a vacation planner. Every family member gets their own color, and kids get their own child friendly view. Sensitive data is encrypted, and content and photos are stored in the EU. Famino is free for Android and iPhone, and Premium can be tried free for 30 days.

Long text (about 170 words)
Appointments on the family calendar, homework in the school planner, the shopping list on the fridge and the spending in someone's head: in many families, everyday life is spread across many places. Famino brings all of it into one app that the whole family uses together.

At its heart is the "My Day" overview. It shows every member's appointments, tasks and school lessons for the day at a glance. It comes with a shared calendar with one color per person, shared to-do and shopping lists, a class schedule with homework and school grades, a meal plan with a family cookbook, a household budget and a vacation planner. A child friendly view lets younger family members use the app too.

Sensitive data is not only encrypted in transit, it is also stored encrypted on European servers with high security standards. The app is free to use on Android and iPhone. Unlocking the extended Premium features costs €3.49 per month or €23.99 per year and can be tried free for 30 days.
