More about the chore chart

A household, shared by everyone.

The chore chart is part of the tasks in Famino: household chores live in the same app as the family calendar, shopping list and meal plan, in sync for everyone.

Recurring chores

Vacuum, take out the rubbish, bundle up old paper: set them up once and let them repeat daily, weekly, monthly or on your own schedule.

Shared fairly

Each chore gets one assignee or two, like Bundle up old paper in the demo family. So it's clear whose turn it is.

Reminders

Famino reminds you of due tasks at the time you choose. If you like, the reminder repeats until the task is done.

Subtasks and comments

Check off steps one by one, and sort out questions in the comments.

In kids mode

Kids see their own tasks in a simple view and check them off themselves.

Family feed

The feed shows who has done what. Nobody has to ask.

Three sheets for the household.

This is what the chore chart looks like in Famino: a new task, the reminders and a task in kids mode.

New task sheet with the list choice Shopping, Household, Homework and Garden, above it the Household list with Vacuum and Bundle up old paper
New taskEnter a title and choose the list, for example Household. Vacuum and Bundle up old paper are already there, each with its assignees.
Notifications sheet with Reminders, Comments, New tasks, Recurring and Actions
ReminderNotifications before tasks are due, for new comments and for newly assigned tasks. If you like, the reminder comes back every 10 minutes until the task is done.
Lisa's kids mode with My tasks 2 of 5 and the Task sheet with the Done! button
In kids modeLisa sees her tasks, and today 2 of 5 are done. One tap on the task, then on Done!

Done is done, and everyone can see it.

What's done appears in the family feed on My Day. Nobody has to ask whether the bins are out yet.

My Day shows the day's tasks next to the events, with overdue ones marked in red. Kids check off their tasks themselves in kids mode.

Questions about the chore chart

How do I share household chores fairly?

Set up each recurring chore once and choose who is responsible. The chore repeats on the schedule you pick, and everyone sees whose turn it is and what's already done.

Can kids see the chore chart?

Yes. In kids mode, children see their own tasks in a simple view and check them off themselves. Budget and settings stay with the parents.

Will we get reminders for chores?

Yes. Push notifications remind you of due tasks at the time you choose. If you like, the reminder comes back every 10 minutes until the task is done.

Do I need Premium for the chore chart?

No. Tasks and lists are among the free basic features. Famino Premium adds higher limits and additional features: free for 30 days, then €3.49 per month or €23.99 per year, one subscription for the whole family.
