Everything the family budget needs.
The family budget is part of Famino: expenses, budget and analytics live in the same app as the family calendar, shopping list and tasks, in sync for everyone.
Shared expense overview
All of the family's expenses in one place, sorted into categories with their own icons and colors: housing, groceries, children, car, insurance and whatever else you need.
Monthly budget
A budget for the month that keeps pace with every expense: all of the month's expenses count towards it, one-off and recurring alike. Income is not offset against it.
Recurring expenses
Set up rent, subscriptions and insurance once. If an amount changes, the new version applies from the month you choose, and earlier months stay as they were (versioning).
Charts and donut charts
Analytics for the month: income, expenses and what's left at a glance, categories as a donut, the budget as a gauge.
Scan receipts
Snap a photo of the receipt and you're done: the AI scan detects date, amount and category automatically and creates the entry.
Encrypted, in the EU
Sensitive fields are AES-256 encrypted with a separate key for each family. Content and photos are stored in the EU, GDPR compliant.
Three sheets that carry everyday life.
This is what the family budget looks like in Famino: the monthly budget, a new entry and a category of your own.

The budget goes with you all day.
On My Day, the home screen, the budget left for the month sits next to the events: 418 in the demo family. If the monthly budget is exceeded, the parents get a notification.
Whoever is at the store sees the same number as at home: the family budget is in sync for everyone in the family, and in kids mode it stays hidden.

Questions about the family budget
Does the scan recognize receipts automatically?
Yes. The AI scan reads date, amount and category from the receipt and creates the entry. You check it and save.
How do recurring expenses work?
You set up rent, subscriptions or insurance once with a repeat. If an amount changes, the new version applies from the month you choose, and earlier months stay unchanged. Recurring expenses count towards the monthly budget.
Can the kids see the family budget?
No. In kids mode, children see only their own day with events, tasks and timetable. Budget and settings stay with the parents.
Is the family budget included in the subscription?
Yes. Famino Premium is free for the first 30 days, then €3.49 per month or €23.99 per year, one subscription for the whole family.
